Following the distribution of Chromebooks and the allocation of office 365 email account to all pupils, we are able to provide online learning for pupils from day 1.
If your child is in EYFS, packs of work will be provided to all children and SWAYS added to our website, including links to Read Write Inc phonics sessions and voiced over models of your child’s teacher delivering phonics.
Reception pupils have been allocated office 365 e mail accounts so that they can take part in phonics lessons delivered live by their own teachers, via Microsoft Teams. These are to follow for our new Nursery intake.
We teach the same curriculum remotely as we do in school wherever possible and appropriate. However, we have needed to make the following adaptations:
Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 = 3 hours
Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 = 3-4 hours
We use Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams to support online learning.
Your child has their own Office 365 account for emails (R- Y6) and these are to follow shortly for our new Nursery intake. Your child has been shown how to use a Chromebook and how to access Teams. An e mail invite will be sent to your child's office 365 account and this will allow your child to join their lessons live from the classroom
For pre-recorded work, we use Microsoft Sway. Sways can be accessed via the school website.
On the home page of the website you will find 'How To' guides to help you log onto your child's chromebook and to access their office 365 account and Microsoft Teams.
Please call the school office or e mail info@marlboroughroad.org for password resets or technical support.

For year 1 -6
For Nursery and Reception:
You have received information about what we expect during live teaching and this information can also be found on the website. Please ensure that your child follows these expectations
If your child is not in school because they are self-isolating, we will follow the same approach as above. We will contact you to discuss our child’s learning at least once a week.
Thank you for your support at this challenging time. We are immensely proud of the response of our school community to these unique circumstances.
