Holidays in Term Time

The Government issued new regulations in September 2013 regarding holidays in term time. These regulations state that Headteachers shall not grant any leave of absence during term time unless they consider there to be exceptional circumstances relating to the application. Exceptional circumstances are defined as being of unique and significant emotional, educational or spiritual value to the child which outweighs the loss of teaching time.

Whilst we understand that holidays are generally less expensive during term time, this does NOT count as an exceptional circumstance and may result in a penalty notice fine of £80 per child per parent.

School opens Thursday 3 September

Teacher Training Day Monday 5 October (School Closed for 1 Day)

School closes Friday 23 October (School Closed for 1 Week)

School reopens Monday 2 November

Teacher Training Day Monday 30 November (School Closed for 1 Day)

School closes Friday 18 December (School Closed for 2 weeks)

Spring Term 2027

School reopens Tuesday 5 January

School closes Friday 12 February (School Closed for 1 week)

Bank Holiday Friday 26 March (School closed for 1 day)
